A Crypto News Publisher Put a Self-Custodial Trading Wallet Inside Its Own App

Market Intel · Just now · Not financial advice

A crypto news publisher just launched self-custodial trading accounts on Solana, and it is the first piece of a bigger idea: putting a market inside the story you are already reading.

One balance, four products

Balances sit in USDT, and one balance funds Earn, Swaps, Predictions and Perps. There is no bridging between products and no separate deposit for each one. Gas and rent are sponsored through fee-payer co-signing, so users never need to hold SOL just to move money.

The accounts are self-custodial, meaning the publisher says it does not hold private keys and cannot act on a user's behalf. Private key export is coming shortly, so the wallet can later be imported into any Solana software.

What the wallet is really for

The accounts are the rail under The Information Exchange, a network announced on 30 September 2026 that puts news, market data, probabilities and trading side by side. The publisher supplies the reporting, Myriad supplies the market technology, and the upcoming MYR token is meant to coordinate users, traders, publishers, liquidity providers and autonomous agents.

Myriad arrives with more than $600 million in prediction market volume behind it. The combined outlet claims about 1.6 million monthly unique users and 3.7 million monthly page views.

The gaps worth watching

MYR still has no published launch date, supply, allocation or mint address. The wider instrument list is a plan rather than a product, since spot markets, perpetual futures and structured event products are all named as coming.

There is a structural question too. A newsroom running markets on the subjects it covers has an obvious conflict, and the announcement does not explain how editorial and market operations stay apart.

Why traders should care

Today you read about an asset, then leave for an exchange to trade it. This setup keeps the reader, the context and the trade in one place, and it is another sign that wallets, media and trading apps are collapsing into the same product.
